Terms and Conditions – Academy and Events



Professional Training Diploma Courses

ALL PAYMENTS are strictly non refundable. In the event of a genuine reason for cancellation (proof of which may be required) a request for transfer to a later course will be considered at the discretion of The Academy .

Courses transferred may incur an administration fee of £25.

No refund or transfer will be given to students who do not arrive on the day of their course.

Places will be held for 48 hours on application for a course. Should payment not be received by then, the place will be open to another student. ONLY PAYMENT IN FULL WILL CONFIRM YOUR PLACE ON YOUR CHOSEN COURSE.

All courses must be paid in full before the start of the course (at least 28 days prior). Payment can be made by ;

Students take part in the training and in giving or receiving treatments at their own risk and without prejudice. Each student receiving a treatment will first sign a declaration and complete a consultation.

Students are required to dress accordingly for training courses with minimal jewellery and professional salon wear where appropriate. You will be working on members of the public and are expected to behave in a professional and polite manner and dress accordingly. The Retreat reserves the right to ask any student not maintaining a professional and polite manner to leave the course and no refund will be given.

The Academy at The Retreat does not accept any liability for loss or damage to property whilst at the Venue. The Academy at The Retreat does not accept any liability for loss or damage to vehicles whilst parked at the venue.

It is the students responsibility to ensure that the course they are choosing to take is covered by their own insurer. Our courses are recognised and accredited by IPHM and Wellbeing Insurance , insurance can be obtained from them in addition to others. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain their own insurance.

The Academy at The Retreat does not accept any responsibility, nor will a refund be given, in the event of an employer, training provider or insurance company NOT accepting an Academy qualification.

The Academy does not accept responsibility should a claim be made against a student whilst undertaking training. We DO advise students to obtain Student Insurance before undertaking training and this can be obtained from your regular insurer or Wellbeing Insurance.

Should the student not meet training standards on the final day of the course further training or case studies may be required. This must take place within one month of the original course. Additional training will be made available at a rate of  £15 an hour. Should a student not undertake the additional training their qualification will not be awarded and all fees will be non refundable.


Payment must be made in full to reserve your place on the workshop.

Should The Academy need to cancel for any reason all attendees will receive a full refund.

Refunds will only be issued to attendees with 14 days notice of cancellation, unless they can fill the place.

Please note than unless otherwise specified a workshop is not a professional qualification, you will not be issues with certification.


Payment must be made in full at the time of booking, places will be confirmed on receipt of payment.

Should The Retreat need to cancel any event all attendees will receive a full refund

Refunds are only issues to attendees with minimum 7  days notice of cancellation, unless they can fill the place with another guest.
