Terms and Conditions
ALL PAYMENTS are strictly non refundable. In the event of a genuine reason for cancellation (proof of which may be required) a request for transfer to a later course will be considered at the discretion of The Academy . Courses transferred may incur an administration fee of £25. No refund or transfer will be given to students who do not arrive on the day of their course.
All courses must be paid in full before the start of the course (at least 4 days prior). Payment can be made by ;
Cheque: Payable to ‘The Retreat’ and Cheques must be received 14 days prior to the course date
By Bank Transfer: Details will be sent when you book via confirmation e mail
Pay Pal invoice: An invoice will be sent via email (a surcharge of 4% is added to paypal payments)
IF FOR ANY REASON THE COURSE HAS TO BE CANCELLED BY THE RETREAT A FULL REFUND WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS
Students take part in the training and in giving or receiving treatments at their own risk and without prejudice. Each student receiving a treatment will first sign a declaration and complete a consultation.
Students are required to dress accordingly for training courses with minimal jewellery and professional salon wear where appropriate. You will be working on members of the public and are expected to behave in a professional and polite manner and dress accordingly. The Retreat reserves the right to ask any student not maintaining a professional and polite manner to leave the course and no refund will be given.
The Academy at The Retreat does not accept any liability for loss or damage to property whilst at the Venue. The Academy at The Retreat does not accept any liability for loss or damage to vehicles whilst parked at the venue.
It is the students responsibility to ensure that the course they are choosing to take is covered by their own insurer. Our courses are recognised and accredited by The Guild of Beauty Therapists and insurance can be obtained from them. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain their own insurance.
The Academy at The Retreat does not accept any responsibility, nor will a refund be given, in the event of an employer, training provider or insurance company NOT accepting an Academy qualification.
The Academy does not accept responsibility should a claim be made against a student whilst undertaking training. We DO advise students to obtain Student Insurance before undertaking training and this can be obtained from The Guild of Beauty therapists.
Should the student not meet training standards on the day of the course further training may be required. This must take place within one month of the original course and will be at no extra cost to the student. Should a student not undertake the additional training their qualification will not be awarded and all fees will be non refundable.
Should Victoria from The Academy be required to travel to teach any course on site at another salon/spa or venue then travel costs must be covered by student as will any overnight accommodation costs for longer courses. These costs will be sent to a student via e mail and will be agreed upon before booking the course. If cancellation occurs then only travel and possibly accommodation costs will be refunded. Accommodation costs will depend on whether a charge is made by the hotel/accommodation provider.
